For privacy questions or requests about your personal information, email love@coucou.co.uk.
Information processed when you visit
The site does not ask you to submit your name, email, health information or daily intentions. However, delivering a web page involves processing technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times.
Hosting and security
This version is prepared for hosting on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request information to deliver the website, protect it against abuse and maintain its services. Where the operator processes this information, the purpose is to run and secure the website, relying on legitimate interests in providing a functioning, secure service.
Cloudflare's role and handling of information depend on the services and settings used. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its explanation of visitor information and international processing.
If you email us
We receive your email address, any name you provide and the contents of your message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and deal with follow-up questions, relying on our legitimate interests in handling enquiries. We may also need to process information to meet legal obligations, such as responding to a data protection request. Our email provider processes messages to deliver this correspondence.
Please do not send sensitive health details. This inbox is for general enquiries and is not a therapy or emergency service. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, resolve any related issue and meet applicable legal requirements.
Fonts and external services
The website loads the DM Sans typeface through Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to request the font files, which means Google receives technical request information including your IP address. See Google’s explanation of Google Fonts privacy and Google’s privacy policy.
Cookies, advertising and analytics
The website code does not set cookies, use browser storage, run advertising or include analytics scripts. Hosting or security services may process technical data separately, and any additional cookies or services enabled by the operator must be reflected in this notice. We do not sell visitor information or use it for advertising.
Retention and international processing
No account or wellbeing records are stored by this website. Technical information held by hosting and font providers is subject to their applicable retention arrangements. We have not configured our own visitor logging or a custom retention period. Default provider processing may still occur; this does not mean that no technical information is retained. Providers may process information outside the UK. The applicable retention periods and international-transfer arrangements depend on the services and account settings used and remain to be verified for the public deployment.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information; to object to certain processing; and to receive a portable copy where applicable. These rights are not absolute. Use the privacy contact shown above to make a request.
You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Adults only
coucou is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not invite children to create accounts or provide personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact love@coucou.co.uk so we can address it.
Your right to object
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation. Email love@coucou.co.uk to exercise this right.
When the app launches
Any account details, saved intentions, reminders or other personal data used by the future app will need an updated privacy notice before collection begins. This website does not currently collect that information.
